Installing TM/MM on Microsoft Vista
Now Playing: Phil
Topic: Hy-Tek Updates
Here is a note from Hy-Tek support... ---- The biggest issue can be a new install of TM or MM on Vista. Back in September of 2006 we changed the installer software that we use to install both TM and MM. Our new and current installer works just fine with Vista. The old installer doesn't.
The easy way to tell which you have is to look at the files on your installation CD. If you have only 2 files, you have the new installer. If you have a bunch - about 14 or 15, you have the old installer.
In that circumstance we highly recommend ordering a replacement CD ($10 + Shipping & Handling) from our sales office (866-456-5111).
Thanks, Bob Matlack, Director of Technical Support Support@hy-tekltd.com

Creating Team/Pool Records
Now Playing: Phil
Topic: Times & Records
There are many different ways of setting up and using the Records feature of Team Manager and Meet Manager. Once you have created an initial Records file, it may be updated from TM or MM to establish any newly set records. To create a brand new Records file, you may enter each record manually for every event, or Import a starting Records file with fictious entries and fictious times. We have provided a Records file with all times set high at 5:00.01 and XX for names. You may Import this file into Team Manager and/or Meet Manager. Consult the TM/MM Help for further instructions. Note: After downloading the Records ZIP file, you must manually un-zip it (.REC) for Importing into Team Manager and into Meet Manager. "blank" Records file - (PDF report) and (ZIP)

Topic: Reports
There are three Team Manager 4.0 reports that you may find useful to hand out to your swimmers at the beginning and end of the swim season. These reports will display the historical/top swim times for each individual stroke/distance for each swimmer. Each of the three TM 4.0 reports displays the information a little differently. Note: To be able to effectively use any of these reports, you must first configure your Setup -> Preferences -> "Custom Age Group" to define our swim events… ie - 50yd vs 100yd Age Group & Reports Creation Instructions (DOC) - (PDF) Seasonal Results Spreadsheet - 1-page sample PDF report (this report is new with TM 4.0) Top Times Spreadsheet - 1-page sample PDF reportTop Times - 1-page sample PDF report

Error - cstext32.ocx and cscmd32.ocx could not be registered
Now Playing: Phil
Topic: Hy-Tek Updates
A team recently encountered this error, and we thought we would post this for future reference. Problem: cstext32.ocx and cscmd32.ocx could not be registered. This error message can occur when installing or running Team Manager or Meet Manager. Cause: This problem is due to the recent Windows XP/SP2 and Windows 2003 updates that caused cstext32.ocx and cscmd32.ocx to become outdated. Here is the Hytek link - http://www.hy-tekltd.com/Hy-SP2.html
